Refund Policy

This policy covers the optional WebSketch supporter subscription. It is part of the Terms of Service (see Free Beta and Supporter Subscription). Using WebSketch within the free usage limits costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund for it.
What you are buying
The supporter subscription costs $5 per month (USD), is processed by Stripe (depending on your location, your purchase may be sold through Stripe's Link as merchant of record, under its terms), and renews automatically each month until you cancel. It currently includes higher usage limits and early access to new features. Limits, features and price may change and are not guaranteed. The subscription is offered only in the countries we currently support, and the list can change.
After checkout, supporter status is activated manually, usually within one business day.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the Stripe Customer Portal, linked from Account → Usage. You keep supporter access until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and the subscription does not renew after that.
General rule
Payments are non-refundable and we do not give partial-period refunds, including for the unused part of a month after you cancel, except in the cases below or where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund.
When we refund
- Your account is terminated by us. If we terminate your account for a violation of the Terms, your supporter status ends immediately, we cancel the subscription, and we refund the current billing period to the original payment method. We make this refund by hand in Stripe as a deliberate step when we terminate an account, and it is not triggered automatically by every termination. If your account is later reinstated, supporter status is not restored automatically; you would need to subscribe again or ask us to re-grant it.
- A subscription from an unsupported place. If a subscription is started from a country or region we do not support, we refund it and cancel it.
- Unauthorised card use. If a payment was made without the cardholder's permission, we refund it to that card and end the subscription.
- A billing error. If you were charged twice or the wrong amount, or you paid and your supporter status was not activated, we refund or correct it.
- Where the law requires it. If consumer law where you live gives you a cancellation or refund right, we honour it. For example, some jurisdictions give a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital purchase unless you agreed to start the service right away and acknowledged losing that right.
What does not trigger a refund
- A restriction. A restriction blocks AI generation for everyone, supporters included, until it ends. Your subscription is not paused and keeps billing unless you cancel it, and a restriction alone is not a reason for a refund.
- Hitting a usage limit, or limits, features or the price changing, including AI output you did not like.
- Forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or changing your mind after you have used part of a billing period. We may still refund at our discretion.
How refunds are paid
If Stripe sells your purchase as merchant of record, it may also issue refunds under its own policies. Refunds go back to the card or payment method used for the purchase, through Stripe. We do not pay out to a different method. Your bank can take about 5 to 10 business days to show it. If you no longer have the original method, contact us.
How to ask
Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} or use the support page. Include the email on your account and roughly when you bought. Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank, so we can fix it faster.
Deleted accounts
If your account was deleted, we cannot refund through the normal process. Contact us and we will look at the payment records we keep. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription in Stripe; cancel it in the Customer Portal first.
